Correction Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2025

At Indian Standard, we are committed to accuracy, accountability, and responsible journalism. While we strive to ensure all published information is factual and verified, we recognize that errors can occur. This Correction Policy outlines how we handle such situations.

1. Our Commitment

We take factual accuracy seriously. All content published on Indian Standard is reviewed by our editorial team and sourced from credible and verifiable outlets. In the event that we discover an error—whether minor or significant—we are committed to correcting it promptly and transparently.

2. Types of Corrections

  • Minor Edits:
Typos, grammatical mistakes, or formatting issues that do not affect the meaning of the content may be corrected without a formal notice.
  • Factual Corrections:
If a post contains incorrect information that affects its accuracy or context (e.g., dates, names, figures, locations), we will:
    • Update the content with the correct information
    • Add a correction notice at the bottom of the article with the date of the correction and a brief explanation
  • Article Retractions:
In rare cases where an article is found to be based on entirely false or misleading information, we may retract the piece and publish a statement explaining the reason for removal.

3. How to Request a Correction

If you believe we have published inaccurate information or omitted important context, please notify us at:
📧 corrections@indianstandardnews.com

In your message, please include:

  • The title and URL of the article
  • The specific error or issue you’ve identified
  • Any supporting evidence or source(s)

We aim to review and respond to all correction requests within 48 hours.

4. Editorial Oversight

All correction requests are reviewed by our editorial lead. If the correction is valid, it will be implemented promptly. If it is not, we may choose not to take action, and we will provide an explanation.

5. Version History

For transparency, substantial corrections may include a timestamped note at the end of the article. We do not currently maintain public versioning but reserve the right to implement it in the future.
